Volunteer Opportunity: Trustee at CraftAbility Thaxted

We would love to hear from anyone in the community who is interested in giving something back and would like to join the trustees of CraftAbility.

Based in Thaxted, CraftAbility offers craft activities to adults living with physical disability

The Centre is open 2 days a week and is manned entirely by an amazing group of volunteers. Members have the opportunity to meet new people in similar circumstances and learn new craft skills in a welcoming environment. This is an exciting time for us and there is a lot to do to progress our new brand and engage with the communities we serve.

The work of the Centre is overseen by Trustees who meet around 4 times a year. The Trustees oversee the work of the Centre, reviewing finances, and keeping the income flowing through fundraising and grant applications. This is a chance to work alongside an amazing group of trustees and volunteers and to experience the satisfaction of seeing first hand the difference that the Centre makes to the lives of the people it touches.

We would love to hear from anyone in the community who is interested in giving something back and would like
to join the trustees. There is no specific skill requirement just a willingness to get involved.

CraftAbility is the working title of Thaxted Centre for the Disabled, a registered charity serving Uttlesford.
