Building Buddy volunteers are needed to lead and supervise this ‘shed inside’ concept by helping clients to enjoy a creative pastime like completing simple construction projects such as; model kit making and painting, building bird box kits, clay modelling and constructing items using Meccano and other indoor tabletop activities in a fun, safe and secure environment.

Skills needed:

Good interpersonal and communication skills, non-judgemental approach, motivational and empathetic, manual dexterity, ability to work in a team. Awareness of health and safety issues associated with activities and an ability to recognise safeguarding issues (training will be given). Some model making experience would be useful.
